Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä (/mpʰɒ́/ /ûːgæ/ [thin (slender); slim] [desert]) is a subtropical Town located in the Yizasujia Region of the Confederation of Goblin Tribes.

The name Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä is derived from the Goblin language, as Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä was founded by Hath H́aych́ Tsal̄, who was culturaly Goblin.

Climate

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä has a yearly average temperature of 14°C (57°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 2°C (35°F). Overview

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä was founded durring the early 12th century in winter of the year 1115, by Hath H́aych́ Tsal̄. The establishment of Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä's construction back out of the project. Hath H́aych́ Tsal̄ pushed on reguardles, and Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä was built using the conventions of Goblin durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of broad packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The somewhat suffishent have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye.

Civic Infrastructure

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä's parks.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä.

Cultural Notes

While Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Mpfaẃ Û̄gä Kēä's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.
